Junior & Mini Coaching Sessions
We are delighted to confirm that both Mini and Junior Coaching resumed at Onslow Tennis Club in September. Sessions commenced on Monday 12th September and will run for a 6 week period until Friday 21st October. If there is sufficient demand sessions will continue for a further six weeks from Monday 31st October until Friday 9th December. All session days and times will remain as previously and are detailed on the booking form which can be found by clicking here. From September all coaching will be provided by Covercoaches.com. This is an organization specializing in helping clubs and schools improve, manage and deliver their Junior Coaching programmes. To help ensure the success of this new venture existing members of the club’s committee will be dropping into the clubhouse during coaching sessions to check all is running smoothly. Any member of the committee will also be pleased to receive feedback from juniors and parents as to how the new sessions are going. If you would like to secure a place for your child please download, print and complete the booking form and return it together with payment to Don Hunt, 7 Devon Bank, Old Portsmouth Road, Guildford. GU2 4DQ. The session splits will follow a similar split to those offered previously, that is 3.30 Mini Reds suggested ages under 6's 4.15 Mini Reds suggested ages under 8's 5.00 Mini Orange suggested ages under 10's 5.45 Green Ball suggested ages under 14's 6.30 Yellow Ball suggested ages over 14's This will be reviewed as the sessions and numbers and ability of children attending each group is assessed so if you are in doubt come along the first week and try one out and then sessions can be changed in conjunction with the coach if needed. Please note children attending junior tennis sessions are required to be junior members of the club.
Adult Coaching
- • There are currently no group sessions for adults. Club members interested in coaching can however arrange individual lessions.
